The goal of the Safe Patient Handling Steering Committee is to assist with and disseminate information about every aspect of the implementation of the new legislation. Their activities include, but are not limited to, working with hospitals to find the most effective equipment at the best prices and developing a training program to ensure best practices. In addition, the committee will assist individual organizations where help is most needed. By working together, the implementation of the law will be streamlined and the cost of putting the law into action reduced.
